Hildegart Rodríguez Carballeira: Revolutionary, Socialist, Feminist, and Sexologist

This article addresses some aspects of the thought of Hildegart Rodríguez Carballeira, a gifted feminist, thirsty for knowledge, and victim of the delusions of a murderous mother. Despite her premature death – her mother took her own life when she was only 18 – Hildegart left behind an interesting and little-known body of work that places her not only among the most advanced feminists of Republican Spain, but also among the most erudite thinkers of her time.
