La buona reciprocità nell’ermeneutica. Prospettive di dialogo tra le filosofie del mondo

ARTICOLI / 8 / Roberto Mancini /

This essay intends to deepen the essential relation between intercultural dialogue and the philosophical research in the several thoughts traditions of the world. If philosophy realizes its specific vocation to critical inquiry about both the meaning of human experience and truth, it will be able to safeguard the capability of reference to the universal in every culture. The spiritual and heuristic strength of dialogue can generate a good reciprocity among the cultures. This kind of relationship can have a great development thanks to hermeneutical approach. First at all hermeneutics has characterized by an open and listening consciousness and its method can help the common and mutual understanding among different conceptions of the life. Then such an approach can be an epistemological antidote against every trend to theoretical enclosure of the thought in the boundaries of a single point of view. For these reasons today the hermeneutical conception of philosophy represents an important contribute to the process of the intercultural convergence toward a humanized global society.
