The matrix of singularity in Gabriel Tarde: Difference Expansion and legal precedent

The purpose of the present article is to analyze the relationship between the whole and its parts in Gabriel Tarde’s thought, starting from the assumption that the whole is always less than the relationships between the parts that compose it. Therefore, through the resumption of Leibnizian monads we will observe how the concept of relationship works at a juridical level, trying to emphasize the notion of legal precedent to find out specific instances that can serve as a lasting reference and can induce changes through their re-proposition. By the notions of difference and similarity, in fact, it is possible to propose an analogical method and suggest a third way in the dual character of the law: systematic or on a case by case basis.
