Exteriorization. Topicality and history of a theoretical paradigm
The aim of this issue of Lo Sguardo is to examine the contemporary relevance and history of the concept of exteriorization, in order to establish it as a theoretical paradigm that both traverses and extends beyond the philosophy of technology. The first section poses the problem of exteriorization from a general perspective, in which the reference to the life sciences and the biological sciences is central; the second section tightens the field, analyzing the question of exteriorization from a more anthropological perspective; in the third, the reference to Derrida, Stiegler and the problems of writing and memory is central; finally, in the last section, the problem of exteriorization is approached from a perspective closer to media theory.
