Remembering a Nothing. Gunther Anders and Jean Paul Sartre Between Negative Anthropology, Memory, and Personal Identity
This essay compare two positions about the relation between memory and individuation: the one of Günther Anders and the one of Jean-Paul Sartre. I try to explain the similarity of the analyzed positions with the common ground of the negative anthropology, which aims to think about the human being in terms of “pure action”, totally eradicated from the past and the world. In the conclusion, I show a possibile alternative position: the one of Maurice Merleau Ponty.
